Today, Apple gave a sneak peek of its very first Apple Store in India called Apple BKC. Situated in the bustling Bandra Kurla Complex financial, arts, and entertainment district of Mumbai, the store will provide customers with an interactive environment to explore Apple’s products and services, receive top-notch service, and participate in free Today at Apple sessions to enhance their device usage. Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Retail, stated, “Our customers are the focus of everything we do at Apple, and we’re thrilled to share this exciting moment with them as we launch our inaugural retail store in India. Apple BKC is a reflection of Mumbai’s lively culture, and it merges the best of Apple into a stunning and friendly space that fosters connection and community.”
Apple has opened its first retail location in India, Apple BKC, which is located in the Bandra Kurla Complex district of Mumbai. This store is designed to be one of the company’s most sustainable locations, with a dedicated solar array and no reliance on fossil fuels for store operations, making it operationally carbon neutral. Apple BKC features more than 100 team members, who collectively speak over 20 languages, and they are ready to welcome customers from around the world, offering advice on Apple products and services. The store is also offering free “Today at Apple” sessions, including “Mumbai Rising,” featuring local artists and creatives. The store’s design is unique, featuring a triangular handcrafted timber ceiling that extends beyond the glass façade to the underside of the exterior canopy, reflecting the store’s unique geometry. Upon entering the store, customers are greeted by two stone walls sourced from Rajasthan and a 14-meter-long stainless steel staircase connecting the ground level and the cantilevered mezzanine. Apple BKC is now open for business, and visitors are invited to explore the store’s latest lineup of products, including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, AirPods, Apple Watch, and Apple TV, as well as accessories like AirTag.
